Who are behind the Greyton Collective?

Meet Paula

Paula Ansley is the editor of The Greyton Post, a former scientist and has a love of business start-ups. While building her career in science, she was always running small enterprises as a busy weekend warrior, driven by a love of creativity, innovation and bringing ideas to life. Aside a few other degrees, she holds a Master’s degree in Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, as well as a Diploma in International Marketing Management. She developed an entrepreneurial course for matriculants in Mfuleni for Afrika Tikkun and supported the small business development unit at the University of Stellenbosch business school.

She is also the creator of the internationally award-winning Indlovu Gin—the world’s first elephant dung gin—which has won gold medals in South Africa and New York and has been enjoyed by people around the world.

Today, Paula’s greatest passion is helping small businesses and creative entrepreneurs to grow. The Greyton Collective was created to give talented local makers a beautiful, professional space to showcase and sell their work, while providing the support, marketing and encouragement to help their businesses flourish.

Meet Nadine

The Greyton Collective is very much a team effort, with Nadine Fullerton co-running the Collective alongside Paula and bringing her own wealth of experience, energy and organisational know-how to the space.

With a background in both hospitality and retail, Nadine knows a thing or two about looking after customers and keeping everything running smoothly. She is also something of a superwoman when it comes to admin and organisation — an invaluable skill when you’re bringing together a growing community of local makers!

Many in Greyton will already know Nadine as the former owner of Veni & Sons. While the physical store may have closed its doors, Veni & Sons has simply evolved and is now an online purveyor of fine game produce. You can still pop into The Greyton Collective to find out more and place your orders for your favourite supplies.

Together, Nadine and Paula are the team behind The Greyton Collective, working with our makers, welcoming customers and helping to build a space that celebrates and supports the wonderful creative talent found in Greyton and across the Overberg.
